We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule to spend 2-4 hours per day looking after my very functional 93 year-old father. Responsibilities include driving him to his activities and appointments, preparing simple meals (e.g., a salad and heating up prepared food in his microwave or toaster oven) or taking him to a restaurant and joining him for dinner, light housekeeping and shopping, and using technology to keep tabs on his whereabouts when he is out walking. Must be able to drive, although a car is not necessary—my father has a car. The one-bedroom au pair unit includes sunny bedroom with private entrance, large closet and bathroom (with bathtub and shower), as well as a small and very sunny efficiency kitchen. Perfect for a PhD student working on a thesis, an artist, or retired/underemployed individual.
