My partner and I are looking for a place to stay during spring quarter. We're advanced Ph.D. candidates, and we plan to spend much of the quarter on campus, working on our dissertations and as TA's. Ideally we'd be in Palo Alto, but we'd consider other locations so long as they are reasonably commutable with public transportation + bike. We're Stanford affiliated so sub-licensing on campus is possible.
Our current sublease ends March 28th and we're able to commit until the end of June. We may be looking to extend into the summer and next academic year, depending on teaching offerings, but we won't be in a position to confirm until April or so. For now the priority is just to find housing! Of course we understand there's likely to be some premium associated with a short-term lease.
We'd be interested in either a room in a shared house or a studio apartment. We've lived with many roommates over the years, sometimes in pretty small spaces, and we've always found a way to share space respectfully.
