I'm Holden Takahashi, a 2020 graduate from Stanford. I did my masters in Structural Engineering. I'm from Hawaii and have been surfing since I was 5 years old. I'm living in San Francisco now and working in the Bay Area, so pretty settled in NorCal. I surf about 3 times every week, Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday.
I have experience big wave surfing in Hawaii (see attached photos) and also smaller waves for fun. If you're curious about my credentials please watch https://youtu.be/t1xWjHGj-sE . I'm very familiar with the Northern California lineup and know what spots have small waves and are best for beginners and intermediates. Safety is my #1 priority and I only will be giving lessons to one person at per session, ie you will have one on one attention. You will need to have your own wetsuit (I recommend a 5-4). It is preferred that you have your own board but if you don't have one you can borrow my backup longboard.
