PRODUCT MANAGER – MOBILE APP
Ample, Inc. is an ambitious, well-funded startup that is changing the way energy is delivered into vehicles. It’s modular battery swapping solution makes driving an electric vehicle as simple and convenient as driving a gas car delivering a full charge in just a few minutes. By weaving together smart battery technology, robotics and a better designed car-battery interface, we can create an Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure orders of magnitude faster and cheaper than any existing solutions.
The goal of our innovation is to make it easier for a much wider range of users to own and operate an electric car.
As a member of our team, you will help build a solution that solves critical challenges faced by customers and the industry. Whether working very closely with our engineering teams, partnering with Business Development teams or understanding customers’ needs, you will play a key role defining the product path to deliver our product to market. The Ample team is small, intense, highly capable and eager to have like-minded individuals join. As a Product Manager at Ample, you are “hands-on” and not afraid to roll up your sleeves to make our vision a reality. If the technology doesn’t exist, we’re not afraid to envision a path to success and then build it, while always keeping in mind it must be designed for reliability, affordability and easy deployment.
Responsibilities:
● Lead product responsible for mobile app and how it integrates with the overall user experience.
● Help define, launch and refine key user moments of the battery swapping driver experience across mobile and physical interactions, partnering closely with UX, Design and Engineering teams
● Partner closely with engineering, design and operations to clearly understand user pain points and prioritize features and roadmaps.
● Remove ambiguity and /or bottlenecks to enable the team to stay focused and move as fast as possible
Requirements:
● 2-3+ years of industry experience working as a product manager for a technology company, with experience launching mobile application products in some of these areas: robotics, consumer electronics, electric vehicle charging, new automotive tech
● Engineering or technical degree required, ideally with an Electrical or Software Engineering background
● Ability to understand company strategy and economic drivers. MBA or MsC in Business, a plus
● Ability to understand advanced technologies in robotics, mechanical engineering, computer vision etc.
● Strong communications skills to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and business teams
● Strong bias towards action. Hands-on attitude and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment is a must
