Senior Software Engineer
mePrism is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to lead the scaling and iterative improvement of mePrism’s App and Enterprise offering for liberating, protecting, and learning from our own personal data. We're looking for an energized, startup-minded team leader and do’er who is passionate about consumer data privacy, working with data scientists, and thinks about the future when problem solving. Not just someone who will fix the bug now and wait for the next one, but rather a leader who takes an experience-based approach to solving problems scalably and thinks in terms of self-healing. Candidates should be self-motivated and adept at building and overseeing the architecture as well as implementing scalable, highly available applications.
At mePrism, the candidate will gain experience working with the world’s top academic researchers, hedge funds, major financial institutions, and world recognized brands and Fortune 500 companies to build out a truly transparent market for data in which individual informed consent is the standard.
This is not a Data Scientist role. We’re looking for a heavy-hitting engineering future-thinker to help build scalable frontend, backend, and data-related features for both consumer and enterprise. Expertise in React Native app development, big data and data pipeline development, DevOps ownership and container design, and AWS savvy are essential to success. The candidate will be joining forces and setting technical direction with an experienced team producing a transformational product in consumer data management.
Required Experience
• 6+ years Node.JS
• 6+ years of Python (Flask)
• 4+ years React Native (Mobile)
• 4+ years Experience with container engines Docker
• 4+ years DevOps Management & Process Oversight
• Expert-level knowledge across AWS, S3, Elastic Search, Cloud Development
• Knowledge or interest in Amazon’s Quantum Ledger
• A strong interest in working with data
• The ability to communicate across all business lines and to develop effective solutions options using sequence diagrams
Preferred Competencies
• Web scraping and headless clients
