We are looking for healthy adult volunteers who can participate in a 25-min online experiment to judge the pitch pattern of numerous vocal sound files.
We are looking for people who:
- Are age 18 or older
- Are native English speakers
- Have not had formal training in any tonal languages
- Have not lived in a tonal language speaking country for over 3 months
- Are below native level fluency for any other languages spoken
- Have no hearing problems in everyday life
- Able to participate one on-line test session for 25-min
- Able to do the testing session in a quiet and secured room with headphones
The session would involve answering a simple questionnaire about your background, followed by audio materials of short voice samples whose pitch patterns you will be asked to judge.
You will receive a $10 Amazon gift card for your participation.
