About Eridan
Eridan is a rapidly growing startup building 5G radios to enable abundant wireless connectivity everywhere in the world. Our MIRACLE transceiver is based on a patent-protected switching architecture that decreases the amount of power required to transmit a gigabit of data by 5-10x.
We’re a small team with big aspirations to put an Eridan transceiver in every wireless device in the world, and we believe in the power of teamwork and focus to enable outsized results. Our Mountain View office is a 10-minute walk from the Caltrain, and we provide a casual work environment, and lots of room for growth.
The Job
Eridan is currently building out our IC design team. As a Mixed-Signal Systems Architect, you will participate in numerous exciting and challenging activities in a fast-moving design environment and will be responsible for architecting complex, mixed-signal integrated circuits and driving them through product qualification and into production.
A successful Mixed-Signal Systems Architect at Eridan will have strong technical and analytical skills and be comfortable working and solving problems independently as well as collaboratively with the team. We look for engineers with initiative, persistence, curiosity, and good communication skills.
In this role you will:
- Interpret and translate system requirements into circuit architectures (including partitioning in both analog and digital domains).
- Ensure manufacturable products meet performance requirements over PVT.
- Drive architecture and design reviews of circuits and algorithms.
- Design for debug and observability of all circuits on the chip.
- Coordinate debug issues by identifying and fixing problems at root cause.
- Characterize programmable parameters to identify optimal settings for robust performance.
- Work with test engineering to develop production test flow.
- Validate parts through qual (ESD, latch-up, HTOL).
- Provide technical leadership to the development team and provide status updates to the management team.
Qualities of a successful candidate:
- Ph.D. in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience or MS with 7 years of experience.
- Experience bringing together complex, mixed signal integrated circuits through to production.
- Experience with the design, simulation and measurement of high-performance integrated circuits.
- Experience with circuit blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LVDS and SERDES interfaces, and integration of micro-controllers and complex, digital blocks into mixed-signal ICs.
Preferred capabilities/Nice to have:
- Experience as a chip lead on a high performance mixed-signal IC.
- Experience in deep sub-micron technologies (e.g., 28 nm and below).
- Experience with RF circuits and architectures.
