Hello people with extra rooms for rent,
I'm a rising senior at Stanford (in my 20s) studying computer science looking for some cheap housing around/south of Palo Alto for my internship at a startup and keep in touch with my significant other in San Jose. I'm hoping to move in some time in mid-July and move out in September. The compensation from the internship isn't much, so I'd like to keep the cost of a private room in a shared house/apartment at a maximum of $1200. I'd prefer to live with other Stanford-affiliate around my age (20s-early 30s), and are relatively clean--at least in the kitchen/bathroom.
As for more info about me, I like to force myself to go on runs, read trashy fantasy novels, and play movie/anime/videogame soundtracks on my electric piano (with headphones in if quiet is needed). I'm a big night owl, so at midnight you can usually catch me either making french press coffee and working, or sipping random beers and marathoning movies. I would be hoping to occasionally have an overnight guest, but if this is problem then I can go to them instead.
