The New Arts Association
New community for the arts seeks founding members!
Ideally this will be a community of individuals in the arts residing in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Mountain View, and the immediate surrounding areas.
My name is Maria (she/her) and I have been living in the area for 5 years.I work on large scale portraits on canvas w acrylic paint. I am extremely interested in art history, and the humanities in general.
Founding members should be passionate about the arts and the development of an inclusive and supportive community for the arts. Founding members will take on the responsibilities of establishing and coordinating programs, recruitment, archiving, media PR and marketing, funding, member/artist engagement, etc.
While the positions are unpaid they can be used as references and are transitional to paid positions as appropriate to the budget. Titles and entire departments are open to being established moving forward as well! We welcome and value educated ideas and opinions!
Inclusive community values include Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ allyship, human rights, ACAB, abolish ICE, immigrant rights,stop hate for profit, diverse representation in the arts, etc. no age restrictions (18 or older!) or career restrictions (emerging artists encouraged!) or really any except the community values!!!
