I just moved to a new city and just found out about renter's insurance through Lemonade! it seems to be a really good value for peace of mind if you're renting a room/place to insure your property against unexpected damages, so I wanted to share!

The base cost is $5/mo for coverage of:
- up to $10k of personal property
- up to $100k in legal damages if u get sued for people hurt on your property
- up to $3k for renting a new place and then extra for living expenses if your place becomes unlivable for any reason
- up to $1k in medical expenses for guest injuries on your property

You can pay a few extra cents/dollars more if you'd like:
- a higher personal property coverage
- earthquake coverage
- water damage coverage (was an extra $0.84/mo for me)
- insurance of accidental damage to valuables like jewelry, cameras, or musical instruments

seems like a super sweet deal to me, and they also offer homeowners insurance, pet insurance, term life insurance, and more if you're interested!
