My husband and I are selling our 2014 BMW X1 xDrive28i. It’s a great car but since the pandemic we haven’t used it much. We bought it three years ago from my husband’s team member who needed to return to Europe after his research was completed at Stanford.
It’s been well cared for and the miles are low, in total 52,000 miles which averages out to 7,428 per year (average is 15,000 per year). We primarily used it for our short commute to campus. While we have owned it, all maintenance was done at a local BMW dealership.
A couple of my favorite things about the car are the leather, heated seats and also the panoramic roof which extends back to the back seat. It really adds to the driving experience and opens up the car to give an expansive feeling. Also, there's plenty of storage space in the back and the back seats fold down so easily providing a large amount of space. In addition, it has the classic BMW driving experience.
In addition to all the features I've listed below it has a Class III Tow Hitch which we used for our bicycle rack. While the tow hitch stays with the car, the bike rack is not included. Also, the tires were replaced in November of 2018 and have ~16,000 miles on them.
Below I've linked to a copy of the carfax report which lists two minor damage reports. Both reports are referring to cosmetic issues. The first was when our friend owned it and someone scratched the back bumper and he didn’t want to leave it as is and the second was when I had it in the Roble parking lot and the front was scratched. In both instances it was minor.
If you’re looking to purchase a BMW X1, this one is a great option as it’s been well cared for and has low miles. Let us know if you have questions or would like to see the car.
