We are hiring a Sales Operations Lead who will support all stages of the sales cycle and build a holistic end-to-end sales management process inclusive of: sales forecasting, SKU management, building potential client targeting strategies, managing the proposal creation process, deal tracking and keeping impacted delivery organizations aware of what’s coming and contract creation, execution, invoicing and collections. The role is highly cross-functional with engagement between sales leadership, company management, delivery, finance, and strategy.
The Role:
• Deal Origination – Using analytical methods to identify potential account and key contact targets and support with the client strategy outreach.
• Deal Tracking – Track deals through the sales process (awareness and data accuracy), get what’s needed to line up delivery, ensure timing, revenue, invoicing terms, etc. are clear and fed into finance.
• Proposal Management – Work with the copywriter to construct proposals, sales on proposal status and Finance on MSA & SOW creation and management.
• Work with finance on contract / invoice compliance and sales / account management to raise customer issues when needed.
• Ensure the lead source is managed. When a deal closes that is sourced from an external lead, ensure the lead is informed and thanked.
• Maintain the SKU list, pricing and other variables.
• Work with Sales to create forecasts by SKU by geo.
• Work w/ FP&A on margin models.
• Work w/ Marketing ops on events / programs to ensure sales are aware and leveraging.
Experience:
• 4+ years of Sales Operations experience, preferably in a high-growth startup
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills. Management consulting or finance experience a plus
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business & product challenges.
• Strong aptitude for marketing & sales methodologies, processes & project management
• Strong written & verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly & easily
• Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally with many teams and multi-tasks with a sense of urgency
• Modeling capability via MS Excel
Requirements:
• 4+ years of work experience
• Degree from an accredited university or college Operations, Marketing, like degree
• Comfort within a fast-paced, collaborative environment with client teams who are often initially uncomfortable with ambiguity
• Politically savvy when working with clients
• Skilled at knowing when to lead versus when to collaborate
• An interest in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities, and a willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of organizations
• Persuasive written and oral communication style
• Previous start-up experience a plus
• A curious mind and the ability to naturally make connections between diverse fields and industries
