You are an experienced engineer and architect who is looking to define and help execute our forward-looking technical vision and architecture that will change the way millions of people interact with the healthcare system. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team. You still get a thrill out of hands-on coding and thrive on being thrown in the middle of mission critical projects. As part of your work at HeyRenee, you will:
• Serve as the primary architect for the HeyRenee platform. Get hands-on in the code development/deployment when needed.
• Create and enforce best-practices for entire codebase to ensure consistency
• Coach and mentor the engineering team on engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with product and other engineers to create scalable, secure, and high-quality patient experiences that enable those who are not technologically savvy to take full advantage of the digital health ecosystem
• Design and continually improve backend architecture, codebases, and infrastructure to make them more performant, reliable, and secure as we scale our services across patient populations
• Work closely with designers and product managers on a close fast-moving team
You have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s in Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in highly trafficked, mission-critical applications.
• Minimum of 5+ years leading technical architecture, ideally with experience leading or contributing to a successful digital transformation/application modernization effort.
• Experience with best-practice engineering processes and methodologies such as Agile, Service Oriented Architecture, separation of concern, redundancy, and high scalability.
• Experience in a space with high regulatory compliance/complexity, ideally in the healthcare space with HIPAA compliance experience.
• Experience working in partnership with product management.
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD principles
• Solid Communication skills. You are comfortable explaining highly technical concepts to non-engineering leaders. Honest and thoughtful communication across all levels of an organization
• A desire to work in a mission driven environment
