Job Description:
• EDA/ Design Technology Applications Engineer tasks and responsibilities:
• Design rule development and physical verification
• Providing technical expertise, consulting services and guidance for Design Rule Manual creation to existing customers and prospects
• Leading integration of the integrated Design Rule Manual and Design Rule Validation technologies into the customer specific design automation flows and applications
• Technical qualification of prospects for product evaluation and ensuring alignment of customer success criteria with product capabilities
• Technical management of product evaluations on customer’s sites, supporting the customers and ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting evaluation goals
• Communicating with the engineering team on bug fixes and feature requests made by customers
• Testing the bug fixes and new features to ensure they satisfy the requirements and work as expected
• Providing customer-dedicated training classes and presentations on product suite and evangelizing the approach of how to create, use and validate design rules
• Contributing to the product development roadmap based on the technology trends and customer feedback
• Participating in industry conferences and trade-shows, communicating with customer and prospects and presenting and running product demonstration
Knowledge base and skills required:
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience
• Thorough understanding of physical design rules for advanced semiconductor technologies. Experience with advanced finfet technologies is a plus
• Expertise in Physical Verification (DRC)
• Design flow construction and scripting (Python)
• Industry experience in writing DRC decks
• Work in Linux environment
• Great communications skills (both oral and written)
