We are Lasso Loop Recycling. We are creating an appliance for the home that ensures all material inserted can be recycled - currently the recycling rate is 20%, we want to make it 100%. We are on a mission to change recycling for good and need your help!

We are a high-growth early stage pre-revenue startup that has raised $2.3m in funding to develop our prototype which is close to completion. Early next year, we will launch our third round of funding - including pre-sales, a formal funding round and a possible equity or product crowdfunding campaign across the US, UK and additional territories. As you can tell, the next 12 months are exciting and vital to success, so the team is expanding.

Responsibilities

• Overall provide research and general support to the Lasso Loop Recycling executive team as and when requested.
• Search articles, websites and overall pieces of content for people of interest and subsequently uncover and collate their contact information.
• Keep material market data updated and subsequently communicate this information to the relevant stakeholders.
• When needed, search for research and academic papers and communicate them accordingly.
• Complete assigned research projects when needed. In varying fields and markets. Including market and competitor analysis.
• Complete application forms as required. For example, accelerators, grants, events and awards applications.
• Requiring a fast learner that can get across all aspects of the business.
• Maintaining and implementing a database of those recovered contacts. Alongside managing outreach campaigns/ inboxes - including Mail Merge and LinkedIn as and when required.
• Assisting the Lasso Loop executive team with general tasks. Including, ordering materials, setting up company electronics, Bin Audit Implementation, managing administrative work, etc.
• Being available to support additional projects as and when required. Flexibility is key with this role as the responsibilities constantly change with the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a startup style environment is desirable. Prior experience in Marketing, Research or Analytics would be preferred but not essential.
• Ability to synthesise and analyse data is desirable.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial and creative with the ability to think outside of the box using a growth mindset (we operate using an idea meritocracy so this is important!).
• Fluent in English and able to work from San Mateo, CA.
• Intrinsic motivation to work on our ambitious and meaningful mission.
• Ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner.

Above all else, there is a lot of work to do. Commitment to Lasso is essential. Please expect long hours and weekends working where necessary. Occasionally meetings occur at obscure times (our team spans across 3 time zones!).
