We’re looking for senior and principal software engineers, with specialties in full-stack or backend. You’ll join our team and own the mission-critical effort of implementing and deploying innovative learning technologies. Since you’ll be joining a growing startup, you’ll wear multiple hats and have lots of growth opportunities. Here is what you'll do:

• Build products. You will build consumer-facing web applications, including frontend / UI, backend business logic, and data management.
• Take responsibility for the full software development cycle. You will be responsible for designing, architecting, developing, monitoring/maintaining services.
• Develop internal tools. You will increase the team’s technological advantage by developing internal tools to create, deploy, and maintain high-quality computerized adaptive assessments.
• Integrate our product in the ed-tech ecosystem. You’ll handle data flow between our product and other ed-tech products.
• Deploy AI services. In this role, you will work closely with our science arm to productize ML algorithms for computerized adaptive assessments and personalized learning plans.
• Create web-interfaces. You’ll work with designers and use your frontend skills to implement smooth and elegant web interfaces.
• Gamify our products. You’ll be responsible to implement gamification in our assessment.
• Deploy frontend services. Create the frontend services that the rest of the team can work with.

Here’s the background we’d like you to have:

• CS foundations. Mastery of CS foundations, including data structures, algorithms, OS, computer networks, databases, unix, and application servers.
• Backend. Hands-on experience building web applications in any modern object-oriented programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby, etc.).
• Front end / UX. Experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React.js, Redux, Node.js, etc.) and creating HTML/CSS code that satisfy UI/UX requirements.
• Cloud Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Tooling & Automation. Familiarity with build tooling and automation utilizing task runners, module bundlers, and linters.
• Workflow. Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, peer code reviews, and a preference for agile methods.
• Communication. You should feel comfortable having technical discussions in English with your team.
