DirectAvenue is looking for a charismatic Account Executive to join our team in beautiful Carlsbad, California!

Essential Functions

The Account Executive serves as the main liaison between our agency team and a diverse roster of clients seeking accelerated growth. They will serve as subject matter experts in campaign management making data-driven recommendations on media plans for optimal results.

The Account Executive is responsible for presenting and selling the client on opportunities brought by the media team, as well as working with the operations team to develop and gather data relevant to each client’s individualized needs, supervising the process to ensure consistently positive outcomes. They will understand the important signals for each client they are responsible for and ensure that these are continually managed and delivered unambiguously.

The ideal candidate will possess a high-level understanding of media analytics to accompany a rich history of providing clients with exemplary service and strategic growth decisions. They will be able to multitask effectively while maintaining impeccable organization. They will have a deep and nuanced understanding of the industry and be able to jump into an agency role without additional training, prepared to manage some of our major accounts.

They will relish the challenge of being accountable for delivering results that have a direct impact on their income on a daily basis. They will excel at delivering both elementary and sophisticated descriptions of media concepts, and show an innate ability to translate various performance metrics into media recommendations.

This is an exempt, mid- to upper-level position. Compensation is tied directly to experience, is supplemented by commissions, and features an unparalleled benefits package.

Please note: This position is based in Carlsbad, California, and would require anyone accepting this position to be located in or relocated to the area (relocation would be paid for by the company).

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of agency client management experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, statistics, mathematics, or psychology preferred.
• Experience in broadcast television and/or branded strategies in marketing/advertising agency required.
• Knowledge of Core Direct, Nielsen ratings, MRI Simmons, Kantar, DR Metrix, and Tableau preferred.
• Team-oriented individuals are required for this position.
