Rubedo Life Sciences is a biotechnology company with active research programs related to age-related diseases including cancer and respiratory disorders. We are seeking a motivated and passionate candidate to join our team. Together, we will discover and develop novel therapies aimed to selectively clear from the body senescent and cancer cells at the same time. The initial focus will involve contributing to in vitro and in vivo preclinical stage drug discovery research.
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master degree in cancer biology, molecular biology, or cell biology, or a related field with 2+ years of laboratory experience preferably in industry.
• Experience with a variety of cellular and cancer biology techniques, including mammalian tissue culture, flow cytometry, histology, and live animal experiments.
Responsibilities include:
• Execute experimental research protocols involving mammalian cells, cell culture, live animals, animal necropsy, and histology.
• Assist with the development of new experimental protocols.
• Organize and maintain equipment, supplies and reagents.
• Maintain detailed, accurate and up-to-date lab records.
• Work collaboratively on projects while driving individual contributions with little oversight.
• Communicate and present results to colleagues.
Environmental Conditions / Physical Demands:
• Physical: lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, standing, bending, repetitive movement, etc.
• Environmental: exposure to wet lab environment, blood borne pathogens, live animals, and toxic or caustic chemical or reagents
