Stanford's professor's family is looking for a personal and family assistant who can work about 25-30 hours per week.
Housing Provided:
We will provide housing as partial compensation for some of the hours worked.
Two story detached apartment with a separate entrance: 1 bedroom, 1 living room with small kitchen, 1 full bathroom, terrace with a gorgeous view of the Stanford Dish Trail, parking and a small garden. On Stanford Campus and a private entrance to the Stanford Dish Trail.
We need to find someone who:
• Is skilled at administrative and business tasks like booking travel, filing receipts, organizing, paying bills, calling and emailing, scheduling appointments, etc.)
• Is cheerful, friendly and trustworthy
• Has a no job is too small nor too big attitude
• Has extreme attention to detail
• Loves dogs and is happy to dog sit (dog owners are welcome)
• Would be open to occasional childcare in the future
• Can help with laundry, light daily house cleaning, and run basic errands
• Can do grocery shopping and cook dinners 3-4 days/week (we can teach the skills)
• Can work on special projects, such as internet research, garden design or supervising house improvements
• Can help with party planning and execution
• Generally happy to help with anything else needed to keep our home running smoothly
In addition to regular weekly hours, we would need this person to be available for an occasional weekend day to help us with larger events we host in our home. This would be paid as additional hours spent.
The position pays $45/hour.
An ideal candidate should possess strong prioritization skills and attention to detail. Most weeks there will be a combination of some household help including cooking, party planning, family admin and dog sitting/care.
Requirements:
• You must be fully vaccinated against COVID and ideally have had your booster as well. Our family is all vaccinated.
• Must love dogs and knows how to care for a dog
• Open to future childcare
• 3+ years of administrative & support experience. Experience being a family assistant or personal assistant strongly preferred.
• English proficiency
• Proficiency with Google docs and other basic computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude, regardless of the task at hand
• Minimum 2-3 references
• Ability to drive and a valid driver license.
