Hello:
I am a junior professor at an east coast university who will be at Stanford for the 2022-23 academic year. Ideal start date for a lease would be 8/15 or 9/1.
I'm looking for a furnished (at least) 1 bedroom place that is *ideally* 1-3 miles from campus. I'm a low-maintenance tenant who is coming solo: no pets, partners, or kids. I will be traveling a good bit during the academic year so I also expect to leave a rather light "utility" footprint. Looking for a place with the following features:
(1) A somewhat legit kitchen. Need to be able to cook, so a hotplate and microwave only setup won't cut it.
(2) No roommates -- but would be very open (if not prefer) a cottage/in-law arrangement where the landlord is on-site
(3) A place to park a car (not a total dealbreaker if close to campus, but a strong preference)
About me: very laid back, non-smoker (of anything), will spend most of my time in office or exploring napa, carmel, parks, running trails, coffee shops etc.
I can provide a strong reference from my current landlord of ~4 years who are an elderly couple whose property I often look after when they are away as I live in the in-law suite of their large Boston-area home.
Thank you!
