I'm seeking research assistance for unexplored cancer hypotheses.
There's a 99.999% chance these are wrong. If so, you'll get paid to learn about cancer metabolism, molecular biology, nanoscience, and other fascinating topics from your couch and laugh about this job 10 years from now.
If they are right, however, they could change how people understand cancer.
The job entails answering basic questions, researching past experiments, and designing new experiments.
See example tasks below.
The schedule is flexible. Work can be remote, done on campus or near campus.
Deep experience is not required.
Interested? Contact clarence.hu@stanfordalumni.org.

Example Questions
=================
* What are all the pathways that metabolize pyruvate?
* What are the the pathways that use lactate?
* What are all the MYC promoter sequences?
* How much would it cost to reproduce this experiment: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31901251
* What recent experiments demonstrated PARP-resistance?
* How would you design an experiment to prove a protein inhibits TP53 or HIF1a?
* How much would it cost to obtain nucleotide sequences of ecDNA samples?
* How much would it cost to obtain triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) tumor samples?
=================
Qualifications
=================
* 2+ years of cancer research experience
* Knowledgeable about breast cancer or lung cancer (optional)
* Knowledgeable about CRISPR (optional)
