SIGN UP FOR WINTER QUARTER AUDITIONS IN WEEK 2 HERE: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094dabae2aabfac52-scor#/
Hello!
Are you looking for a tight-knit community of friends to make music with? Have you wanted to try out music that isn’t traditionally played in an orchestra? Are you just looking for great waffles?
Stanford Collaborative Orchestra (SCOr) does all of this and more!! Our past concerts have included works such as Bruckner’s Overture in G Minor, themes from Howl’s Moving Castle, and Brahms's clarinet quintet. We also make and eat excellent food together.
If you haven't played your instrument in a while, don't worry! Many of our members picked up their instruments again just to audition for SCOr. Music doesn't have to be competitive or scary. We would love to have you audition <3
We're putting on a Taylor SCOrft concert where a few of us are going to play some Taylor Swift songs and more—that was an idea that our members had and were able to do because of SCOr's collaborative structure.
SCOr is what YOU want it to be.
For more information about the group, check out our website (http://web.stanford.edu/group/scor/) or shoot us an email at stanfordcollaborativeorchestra@stanford.edu!
We are holding an audition cycle in week 2 of winter quarter!! We would love to have you audition—please sign up at the link at the start of the post description!
Wishing you a great rest of winter break and start of winter quarter, and we look forward to getting to know you!
