This desk served me well for the last 3 years of my PhD! I bought it used with dings and white paint on the top (shown in picture). This doesn't affect its desk function, since for me the top is usually covered with a keyboard and laptop anyway...!

The wall in the corner is magnetic so you can put up pictures or notes. It fits a 27 inch screen just fine.
