I will be spending the summer in NY and am seeking a responsible individual to sublet my bedroom, the primary bedroom in our 4-bed, 2-bath apartment in Castro/Duboce Triangle.
Location:
The apartment is located on 16th St., situated between Market and Castro St. It's a 3-minute walk to the Castro MUNI station and the main Castro strip.
Availability:
The room is available from June 15th to September 1st, with a minimum stay of 2.5 months.
The Room:
The room on offer is a large, fully furnished primary bedroom that sits one level below the main floor, providing excellent privacy. (It's very quiet, even if roommates have friends over upstairs!) The room has a desk, monitor, and even an electric piano for the musically inclined. The room also offers direct access to the unit's private backyard. Note: the pictures of the room attached have a different furniture setup than the room does now - there's no TV anymore, and the desk was added after.
Pricing:
The monthly rent for my room is ~$2,250, including utilities and a professional biweekly cleaning service. However, I am open to the best offer and might be able to negotiate a modest discount.
About the Apartment:
Our unit occupies the bottom two floors of a recently renovated Victorian building, featuring 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The common areas are spacious, perfect for working from home or relaxing in the evening. A serene, private backyard adorned with fruit trees and cozy outdoor furniture is at your disposal, complete with a fire pit for summer nights. The unit has in-unit washer/dryer and a garage with 2 protected parking spots.
Roommates:
You would be sharing the space with my three wonderful roommates (Ben, Phillip, and Hunter). We're all gay men in our mid-twenties, working in tech. We make sure to keep common spaces clean, and enjoy the occasional social gathering.
I've spent the last 5 years calling this apartment home, and have enjoyed its central location, spaciousness, and balance of sociability and respect.
