We have an available bedroom with a private (not attached) bathroom in our 2BD/2BA apartment in the Sharon Green Menlo Park apartment complex (https://www.sharongreenmenlo.com/). The unit has a large kitchen space with gas stovetops, and a new washer and dryer laundry in-unit.
My partner (31M) and I (29F) have been residing here for a year so far and have loved both the area and apartment. I am a masters student at Stanford, and my partner is returning to school at SJSU. We do both tend to be focused on work, but also enjoy occasional dinners with roommates.
The apartment is about a 15-minute bike ride from the university, or the free SLAC line shuttle comes right outside the neighborhood every 40 minutes also and takes only 10 minutes. Safeway is directly across the street, which makes grocery shopping extremely convenient as well.
Our apartment complex has several amenities such as a swimming pool, clubhouse, hot tub, tennis courts, basketball court, BBQ stations and fire pits. All these facilities are very well-maintained-- any pictures you see on the apartment website are basically true to life, which is one of the reasons we love it here so much! It's also just very quiet and nature-y with some very large redwood trees on the property, so it's very rejuvenating to sit outside here as well!
We do have a Siberian husky living with us. He is very quiet, friendly and well-behaved. He does not bark or make noise at all, but may run around the apartment occasionally. Comfort with dogs is an absolute prerequisite for moving in. We do have a roomba to help manage dog hair in common areas. If you have a dog, we're open to considering another pet in the apartment, but we'd like our husky to meet them first to ensure compatibility.
For price, the total rent is 5650/month. However, we were given a 1 month free renewal offer. Thus, that brings the price down to ~5200/month, averaged over all 12 months. For this split, we are paying ~2800, and you will pay ~2400/month, averaged over all 12 months.
We have no preference on gender for applicants, and both individuals and couples are welcome!
The lease begins 9/8, but your start date is negotiable.
