The Role
This role will work closely with the Director of BP&A (Commercial Finance) to provide financial guidance and creative problem-solving to drive profitable growth. The role will support the duties of P&L management including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles, with a specific focus on Revenue and Trade spending. You will support the development of pricing and promotional trade management tools and KPI/Scorecard reporting. You will be a key business partner to the Sales, Marketing, and Innovation teams. This role will also be responsible for SG&A planning and forecasting for the organization.
What you'll do:
• Support financial reporting and analytical data requests across the organization, with a focus on the Commercial (Sales and marketing) teams; help develop key weekly scorecards that provide the leadership team with insights into the health of the business and enable the company to meet its monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.
• Prepare SG&A budgets and forecasts, and review actual expenses versus budget.
• Assistance in the preparation of business cases to support brand-related commercial decisions (commercial KPI’s, pricing, new product/line extensions, etc.)
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on key business performance metrics.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve our reporting and business performance.
• Work with the sales team to deliver insights and month-end commentary around net sales.
• Facilitate strategic alignment between marketing, brand finance, reporting, and other areas of the business.
Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management or other relevant field
3-5 years experience in Business Analysis, preferably in the CPG industry; breadth of experience in business planning and analysis across multiple areas is highly preferred
• Power user of Excel and proficient in PowerPoint
• Experience with one or more PowerBI or other reporting systems
• Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze data and prepare financial projections for decision-making.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to a variety of audiences.
Pay Range
$100,000—$115,000 USD
