Hi!
I am a postdoc at Stanford and I am currently looking for housing near campus, ideally in Menlo Park or Palo Alto. I have a lead on a 2b2b in Menlo for about 1750 per person+utilities that we could apply for or we could keep looking for an apartment or a house. I would like to find either 2b2b or 3b2b with a like-minded person/people. I would like to keep my housing expenses under 2k total, but ideally less than that. I have a strong preference to have a private bathroom.
A little about me:
- I am from Europe, have joined Stanford about a year ago
- like clean and organized house, preferably shoes off inside.
- the previous statement sounds like I am obsessed with cleanliness, which I dont think is true:) I will not flip out if something is out of place, or if dishes are not washed the moment you are done with cooking. But if they are still sitting in the sink the next day, or if there is stuff just lying around or sticky surfaces, I will not be comfortable with that.
- I have a car, so I need a parking spot or an option to park on the street
- I don't have any pets, but don't mind living with pets. It is just a little more complicated to find housing open to pets, so that is my only worry about that. Obviously, I would expect the person with pets to take good care of them and clean after them.
- I like growing plants and taking good care of the place where I am living at.
- don't mind people having friends over, as long as it is announced beforehand and does not turn into a wild party etc.
- I am a social introvert, or introverted extrovert. I am social but also respect that you might just want to switch off after getting home.
- covid vaccinated and conscious.
I would like to move end of September or during October at the latest.
