About the facilitator:
Alyse is a movement artist with a background in classical ballet and contemporary dance. She is experienced in guiding Yoga, embodied dance, facilitating & cooking for intimate retreats, and holding space for deep somatic journeys into self. She is most interested in the ways that Yoga and dance help us arrive into our bodies and un-layer the illusions that keep us feeling separate from each other and nature. No matter what type of movement she is guiding, Alyse invites us into intimate relationship with the body and the present moment. Email: alyse@feelingflow.org

Testimonial

"Yoga and dance are interconnected. This connection wasn't apparent to me until I took Alyse's class late last year. We began with some familiar poses that she effortlessly led with a clarity and ease that were refreshing. The class then transitioned into movements that, at first, we did together in a set rhythmic pattern, and later, in a free-form expression. There were also periods of rest to rejuvenate and recuperate.

It is now abundantly clear to me that yoga and dance are closely related. They share common elements, such as movements and pauses, but their goals and benefits can only be fully integrated by someone who understands both disciplines. Alyse, a lifelong dancer trained with a deep background in yoga and spiritual practice, is one of the few who can accomplish this, and in my opinion, she has done it, hopefully for the benefit of many others."
