Cellecta, a privately-owned biotechnology company in Mountain View CA, is looking for a dynamic and energetic life scientist to support Contract Research and internal R&D projects.
Cellecta offers tools and services for CRISPR and RNAi genetic screens, cell barcoding and tracking, cell engineering including gene editing, targeted RNA expression analysis, single cell and spatial transcriptomics. We are seeking a cutting-edge molecular biologist with strong expertise in NGS, single-cell expression profiling, single-cell CRISPR screens, and bioinformatics data analysis to support and/or independently carry out customer-driven service projects, as well as support development efforts to expand applications of our existing technology portfolio.
Requirements:
• Extensive hands-on experience in single-cell expression profiling using 10x Genomics system
• Extensive experience in expression profiling data analysis and interpretation
• Cancer cell model and mammalian cell culture experience
• 3+ year Postdoctoral experience required
• Experience with viral delivery vectors, PCR, DNA cloning, flow cytometry, and related cell and molecular biology technologies
• Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, Virology, Molecular Biology, or similar discipline
• Ability to manage and make progress on multiple projects in parallel
• Effective collaboration with team members, ability to communicate and troubleshoot with fellow researchers
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Salary commensurate with experience. Profit sharing plan is available for all employees after 6 months.
