I'm going to be visiting Stanford from the end of December 2023 to early April 2024 to do research as part of my PhD and need somewhere to sleep!
The all-important background info: I'm 31, male, and American studying computer science. I'm tidy/clean, reserved, and fairly quiet and anticipate mostly slaving away while living that sweet PhD life so things should be calm and easy with me around. I'm a conscientious tenant and I'll take good care of the place. Computers aside, I do weightlifting and play (video) games when I can sneak them in.
Ideally I'm looking for a furnished studio as close as possible to SLAC (or Stanford). A standard rental or a sublet are both fine. I don't have a car/don't need parking. If you have a room to rent, I may be game if it's a good fit. On account of the lifting gainz, I am looking for a set-up that has an actual kitchen (i.e., not just a microwave and a sad hot plate). If you have a bike I can borrow during my stay that'd be super rad.
Budget-wise I'm flexible and average rates for a studio/room are fine.
