Hi! We are looking for someone to either sublet or, preferably, take over the lease of our 1B/1B apartment in Downtown North, Palo Alto. The unit is approximately 800 square feet, about 4 or so blocks from University Ave, 1 mile from Stanford, and 0.25 miles from the CalTrain station. We are about a block or so from a great park/playground area.
The neighborhood is quiet, residential, and very walkable. There seems to be primarily Stanford employees/affiliates, graduate students, and young professionals/young families in the area. The unit comes with a covered, off-street parking space (you could even fit two cars there, if you parked them one in front of the other) and a downstairs storage closet. The space has faux wood floors & tile in the bathroom (no carpet whatsoever), comes with a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a private balcony that can be accessed from both the living space and bedroom. The building has coin-op washer & dryer that you share with 3 other units. The unit comes unfurnished.
We are looking for someone to move in on Nov 1 and the lease runs through July 31, 2024, with the potential to extend the lease (up to you to negotiate with the landlord).
The space is great for a couple - we have distinct kitchen, dining, and living spaces and have never felt too crowded.
