Job Responsibilities
As a member of Firmament’s investment team, responsibilities will include:
• In-depth company and industry due diligence to identify merits and risks of investment opportunities
• Detailed financial modeling and preparation of investment memoranda
• Monitoring of portfolio companies including quarterly and annual valuations
• Preparation of marketing materials for prospective investors and official communications with existing limited partners
You will work directly with Firmament’s Principals and be expected to engage with portfolio companies’ management teams.
Background & Desired Qualifications
Prospective candidates should have the following background and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from leading academic institution with a concentration or major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (other disciplines with strong quantitative and analytical requirements will be considered)
• Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in corporate finance, M&A, private equity, or credit at an investment bank, financial institution, or investment firm is required
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work on a small team in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated individual with demonstrated intellectual curiosity
