BizOps Lead – Job Description
Harmonic is a seed-stage AI startup. We are building an elite team and are backed by some of the world’s most prominent investors. We are seeking a motivated self-starter as our first BizOps hire. The role will have broad responsibility over all non-engineering aspects of the company, including:
Finance
Recruiting / HR
Vendor / Contractor Management
Customer Success
Initially this will be a part-time position, with an opportunity to become full-time (salary + stock options) ~3 months after start date.
Location:
Palo Alto, CA
Schedule:
20 hrs/week part-time with an opportunity to grow into full-time.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting, including sourcing and coordination
HR, including employee onboarding/offboarding
Managerial support and guidance
Office management
Finance and accounting
Vendor management
Payroll and invoicing
Travel arrangements for contractors / visitors
Event planning
Research and support long-term projects for the founders and the full company staff
Requirements:
MBA or advanced degree from top university (in progress is OK)
Highly analytical, with programming experience a strong plus
Outstanding references
Legally able to work in the US
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to learn
A 100% service mindset and can do attitude
Compensation:
Hourly position and in compliance with all state and federal laws and tax deductions. Pay will be based on the number of hours you work each week with a guarantee of 20 hours per week.
Potential for converting to full-time position with stock options ~3 months after start date.
100% employer paid health and dental coverage.
PTO is accrued as you work at the rate of 4.62 hours earned per 80 hours paid (not including overtime, but including paid time off)
Sick Time: 1 hour is earned per 26 hours paid (not including overtime, but including paid time off)
10 Paid holidays:
Discretionary annual bonus and raise based on annual performance evaluation
Retirement plan with 3% matching
