Hi there,

Looking for a short-term rental in a furnished apartment that is within biking distance from Stanford campus?

*If this listing sounds interesting to you, please share information about yourself such as: your work situation [commute/hybrid/work from home], what your typical schedule is like, and what you're looking for in a living situation :)

One bedroom is available in a 2br 1 bath apartment in Menlo Park near Santa Cruz Ave. The apartment is in a central location and walking distance to Caltrain, grocery stores, downtown Menlo Park, and about 2 miles away from Stanford.

About the apartment:
There is onsite laundry, street parking (permit required), bike storage in the carport, a spacious living room, balcony, and a nice kitchen with storage as well. We keep shoes off in the apartment (indoor slippers ok).
Kitchen is fully-stocked and all items/appliances are open for sharing.
The room is furnished with a desk, bookshelf and bed.

About me:
I work full-time at Stanford, and I enjoy staying active. I am very quiet, clean and look forward to a peaceful home to come to. I have a hybrid work schedule and commonly have events after work. Pronouns she/her & I grew up in the bay area.

Here is what would be a good fit:
Someone who cleans up after themselves, and is quiet and considerate of others in shared spaces. Someone who enjoys a healthy and peaceful place to live.
Prefer someone who is an effective communicator, contributes to keeping spaces clean, and is independent.
This is not a good fit for someone who will be working from home full-time. This apartment is not well insulated, and in the winter months it can be very chilly. If you are sensitive to the cold weather, this may not be the best fit.

Rent: $1,400
Deposit: $800 [can vary depending on length of stay]
Utilities: PG&E and Comcast: around $60-$80/month per person depending on usage.
Other costs: Street parking permit + basic household supplies (cleaning products, household items, etc)
Move-in: January 1st
Lease: short-term, prefer around 3 months

I have a cat that is very timid and spends most of her time napping. She enjoys calm and kind company.

Feel free to contact me with any questions and please include info about yourself.
