Hi There, I am a male Chinese postdoc at Stanford and want to find an English language friend here.
I have tried to find some language-exchange friends and regularly talked to them for 1 hour per week. To further increase practicing time, I hope to find someone who can practice English with me more frequently (ideally hours every day), so that I can have more practice under different scenes (I really want to improve my speaking and listening a lot).
About "girl friend?": I wanted to use this term to express my expectation that I hope to practice with her very frequently just like "girl friend" (I'd be very happy if we could develop a good friendship tho), don't have to be real "boy and girl friend". I prefer female language friends.
What is the return?: Mainly accomplishment if it's also something that you need. We can meet frequently to study, do sports, go to gym, bike, hike, have meals, share our thoughts, join some social events, do shopping, etc. I spend most of my time on campus and am planning to buy a car to explore the Bay Area. I can teach you Chinese if you want to learn it or I can also explain the things about China which are hard for you to understand on your own.
