My name is Amelia Meyer and I am looking for a room to rent with graduate students, postdocs, or other young professionals in their mid-late 20s or 30s in the Palo Alto to Redwood City area. I am looking for an unfurnished or semi-furnished single occupancy room that is available for February 1st. Private bathroom or shared bathroom is ok. I am willing to sublet the remainder of an existing lease or sign a new one-year lease agreement. I prefer to live with 1,2, or 3 housemates.
I am starting as a Research Scientist for a Healthy People Healthy Planet Initiative at Stanford. I will be going to Stanford Campus Mon-Fri. I am 28 and moving from Washington D.C. where I was working for the World Wildlife Fund. I am used to living in a shared house and love to be friends and have a cozy home with my housemates. I am clean and proactive around the house to keep it enjoyable and sustainable :) I am LGBTQ+ friendly and have lived in 5 countries with many different backgrounds and cultures. In my free time I am a poet, biker, and hiker. I love to cook vegetarian food and be artsy with friends. I am looking for a place that has like minded people and gatherings with beer but also has ample time for introversion and peace.
