The Process Engineer is responsible to implement new processes, fixtures, and tools, improve existing processes and provide technical support to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing of PCB assemblies.
Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:
- Must be able to read prints and be familiar with assembly techniques using through hole, SMT and mixed technology.
- Must have a working knowledge in electronics and PCB’s.
- Experience in dealing with a variety of technical and non-technical functional groups.
- Must be familiar with PCB insertion equipment, manual insertion methods, wave soldering and PCB cleaning equipment.
- Must be familiar with SMT production equipment.
- May perform other duties as required to support the manufacturing areas.
- Must be able to evaluate equipment considered for purchase.
Qualifications of the Process Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or previous experience as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer.
- 2-3 years direct experience in PCB assemblies involving through hole, SMT or mixed technology.
