CPC is seeking an Engagement Manager to join the Excellence Group. The Engagement Manager will contribute to and ultimately lead projects in support of CPC’s Operating Companies, working across a wide range of functional studies, industries, and geographies. The Engagement Manager will join CPC at an exciting time, directly delivering value to our existing Operating Companies, and also helping shape the longer-term strategy of our growing organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ENGAGEMENT MANAGER:
• Serve as project lead across multiple functional study areas (technology, operations, HR/talent, sales and marketing) and industries (e.g. Consumer Products, industrial, manufacturing, services), in a variety of U.S. geographies
• Serve as lead thought partner to management teams on specific business issues – identify problems, execute appropriate analyses, translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations, and move teams to action
• Directly manage relationships with management teams; build trust and maintain long-term relationships
• Work under the guidance of Excellence Group leadership (CIO, COO, CPO), playing a key role in driving the team’s overall approach to project prioritization, stakeholder communication, work planning, and team management.
• Participate in a collaborative environment to examine and solve problems from different perspectives
• Contribute to the evolution of CPC Shared Services as we continue to grow and advance
• Lead a team of Analysts and Associates on a project basis, including assigning work streams, providing direction and monitoring progress, providing feedback and development opportunities, and escalating to leadership as needed
• Led post-acquisition integration work for CPC’s operating companies, to achieve best-in-class return on invested capital
• Analyze data from across our businesses’ various systems and processes to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities
• Work with leadership to uncover root causes, and support data-driven solutions and decisions
• Create tools and frameworks that can be leveraged across OpCos, and adapted/customized to fit a variety of cultures and needs
• Lead Kaizen events and working sessions that engage and empower OpCo teams, deliver quantifiable results, and create lasting capabilities
• Identify and apply the relevant analytical tools to design, build, and implement predictive models and dashboards
• Work closely with our Data Aggregator partner (BUCS Analytics)
• Support Change programs or projects that are happening at CPC or the operating companies
• Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive research and analysis
• Communicate data, knowledge and insight to the entire team; generate and screen realistic solutions based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
• Deliver effective presentations that convey messages clearly and concisely, and are appropriately tailored to the audience
• Assist with office development activities (e.g., recruitment, training, culture events, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES):
• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a client-facing capacity
• Experience with M&A and integration – leading overall integration or workstreams, required
• Consulting experience a plus
• Experience in multiple types of businesses and multiple business functions
• Experience directing the work product of others (or teams)
• Expert Excel skills a must
• Experience working with higher-level business systems and tools (e.g., strategy deployment tools; facilitation frameworks, work planning tools)
• Strong operational, financial, and analysis skills
• Experience operating in a high-growth environment will be an asset
• Understanding of digital analytics and tools (e.g., PowerBI)
• Understand best practices to increase revenue and reduce costs
• Experience with systems such as Netsuite, Paylocity, and various MES/MRP modules
