Space for a new roommate (if bedroom), or couple (master bedroom), is opening up in our shared home (presently 5 people, with two moving out). The house has many amenities including dishwasher, washer and dryer, garage, and hot tub.
Whether you’re new to the area and want brilliant new friends who also prefer to live with roommates, and hear about each other’s week, or are already familiar with Stanford and Menlo Park and know how green this neighborhood is.
The rental is available for either bedroom or master bedroom (but not both):
For 1 person:
Bedroom, exclusive use of study, shared bathroom ($2700 [plus utilities])
The bedroom (appx 15x15) overlooks a line of trees, the neighbor's garden (often frequented by deers) with windows facing South East. The room (seen in the photo) features a large build in cabinet for clothes and storage. The room faces away from the driveway.
For 1 or 2 persons:
Master Bedroom, exclusive use of Study, private bathroom ($3550 [plus utilities])
The Master Bedroom (appx 15x15) overlooks a line of trees past a blooming Magnolia Tree. The windows are lined with detailed woodwork, and the bathroom (8x12) features a soaking tub and a shower with artistic tiling, along with double sinks and a walk-in closet (5x8).
Both room options come with the exclusive use of the study (see pic). A previous tenant put noise cancelling curtains around it.
3 Roommates are all Stanford graduates and MBA. Considerate, focused on careers, we get together occasionally for a movie/dinner/tea. We'd love to have a musical instrument lover as a new tenant. One tenant is learning the Chinese Zither/Guzheng.

Furniture including a bed and mattress, 2 armchairs, little tables and a dresser is available on communication with the lessees.
The security deposit is 1.5 months rent. Utilities are ca. $100-150 USD per month per person (if there are 5 flatmates), but fluctuates based on the electricity and gas consumption. The lease is running until May 2025, so a tenant until then would be preferred. We would consider a summer short-term tenant starting from 1 June.
