Wanted: overnight caregiver in Sharon Heights (Menlo Park) in exchange for free housing
When: 8 PM to 9 AM, Monday through Friday nights (weeknights)
Tasks: My father needs someone to guide him at night when he gets up to use the bathroom. He usually wakes three to six times a night; the caregiver has to remind him to take his walker, then wait for him to exit the bathroom and tell him to go back to bed. It takes about 10 minutes each time.
Logistics: A buzzer alerts caregiver in their room to get up. Person will have a private bedroom with its own entrance and private bathroom. Caregiver also has use of the kitchen in my parents’ home and can use the swimming pool at their housing complex. Looking for a single caregiver but willing to accommodate a couple.
