TL;DR - We're looking for a 3rd roommate to fill an opening in our Hayes Valley apartment, a triplex with two roofdecks, garage storage, in-unit W/D. The neighborhood is awesome, right near Alamo Square on Hayes & Webster. Rent is $2050 per month (negotiable with one smaller room), 1/3 of total $6150/mo rent. Looking for someone who can sign a one-year lease starting Aug 1, or as early as possible in August.
The apartment:
Our place has 3 floors (triplex) with a small outdoor patio and two roofdecks. We can't stress enough what a big ol' view of SF we get from the roof. The apartment is fully furnished with living room, half-bathroom, and kitchen (with dishwasher) on the first floor, 2 bedrooms on the second floor with shared bathroom, and a 3rd bedroom with private bathroom on the third floor. Our 3rd roommate can take one of the second floor rooms or the 3rd-floor room. The apartment also has in-unit W/D and garage storage space.
The neighborhood:
Hayes Valley is an absolute delight to live in. Wonderful restaurants, cafes, and parks all within a 5-minute walk. When you want to spend times in other parts of the city, It's central location in SF makes it a great place to relax before or after going to nearby neighborhoods (Panhandle, Mission, Haight-Ashbury, Japantown). Not too hilly between this spot and the Caltrain if you're looking to bike to/from the station.
About us:
- Both of us are in guys in our late-20s.
- One of us worked @Stanford as a lab tech, and now works as a research mechanical engineer in San Jose (daily commute). Another is finishing his PhD @Stanford EE/neuroscience.
- Pretty easy-going personalities, flexible and considerate. Generally enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking, camping, backpacking) and enjoy going to local concerts in the city.
- Generally like to cook meals for ourselves, and keep the kitchen clean and dishes washed.
