Hello! I'm the longest term tenant at this house and am looking for renters as the current batch will be moving out as summer internships end. I have 3 rooms for rent:
1. front room - decent sized bedroom with a shared bathroom - Rented
2. middle room - similar size to the front room, shares a bathroom with the front room - Rented
3. back room - private bathroom - 1800/m available September
The most common renter is someone from Stanford doing an internship or post-graduate studies. We've also had tech workers and others stay as well. I work in tech myself and am from Chicago originally.
Other things to know
- I can get you a street parking pass for a small annual fee from the city if you have a car
- The kitchen was remodeled recently, has a gas range, and is good for cooking
- We also have a porch that's nice for hanging out
- There's laundry in the basement, plus an extra fridge if you need more storage space for food
- We're located a block away from the main downtown. There's grocery stores within walking distance. Campus is a mile away.
- The landlord has a no pets policy
The back room has a bedframe, desk, and wardrobe. The middle room is unfurnished but the previous resident is willing to sell his furniture for a good deal as he is moving across the country.
Rent includes utilities/internet and the lease is 6 months with a deposit equal to a month of rent. After 6 months, the lease goes month-to-month. I can do shorter-term leases but we may negotiate a slightly higher rent to cover the overheads associated with this.
If you're looking for a room walking distance to downtown Palo Alto, the train station, and Stanford campus drop me a line and I'm happy to talk. Please include a few details about yourself in the reply and reply directly to highsthabitat@gmail.com rather than relay mail as one of the housemates is posting on my behalf
