(Posting on behalf of my roommate)
Hello! I am looking for someone to take over my Palo Alto lease starting early August. You would be taking over my bedroom in a 6 bedroom, 3 bath home in Midtown.
Cost: $1700. This is a great price for the location, and the landlord has been fair with increases over my 3 years.
Location: Across from Mitchell Park (has pickleball, tennis, soccer fields, etc. as well as a library and coffee shop). 15 minutes from 3 grocery stores: Safeway, Piazza's, and Grocery Outlet. 10 minute drive from Downtown Palo Alto. 20 minute bike ride to Stanford and many other tech companies if you're not working on campus. I have enjoyed getting most of my errands done within 10-30 minute walking or biking distance. The area is very safe and quiet at night.
Unique House Features: Ping pong table, turf area, plum tree, lemon tree, pomegranate tree, apple tree, bbq grill, patio area w/ furniture, cute lil swing, huge living room, garage with tons of storage, open concept kitchen + dining area, 2 fridges, individual HVAC units in each bedroom, in-house washer and dryer, cleaners once per month, rose garden, and bike rack
Your Setup: My bedroom is on the second floor and has a big bay window that overlooks our yard. The space comfortably fits a queen bed and desk and has easy roof access. It has a closet with built-in shelves and drawers as well as extra storage space in the hallway across from the room and in the garage as needed. There is a possibility of leaving the room furnished so let me know if that's of interest! You would share a bathroom upstairs with 2 other people. Downstairs there is another shared bathroom, plus my roommate Trevor is kind enough to share the main bathroom when he's not home so getting ready in the mornings has never been an issue.
Management: My landlord and her property manager Ed are very responsive. Ed responds often within 10-15 minutes of us texting him, and always follows up to make sure our requests are addressed properly.
The People: The best part! You will have 5 co-ed roommates. We have a work hard, play hard mentality. It's quieter during worknights, but we often cook or hang out together in the evenings. We also love getting together during breaks and weekends and some fun activities we've done include wine tasting nights, trips to Hawaii and Seattle, going to Outside Lands, Tahoe trips, camping trips, ice skating, throwing a house prom. My roommates are funny, adventurous, and kind. I'm sure you'll find at least one of them with mutual interests!
We're in Search Of: An awesome roommate who is respectful, clean, outgoing, and kind! Preferably female to maintain our current gender balance. We'd love for you to be part of our get-togethers.
We are looking to fill the room quickly and can schedule a house tour/chance to meet the roommates in the next two weeks. Priority will be given to folks looking to move in near the beginning of August. Please let me know if you have any questions/are interested. Thank you :)
