Hello! I have a room with a private bathroom at 1750/m available on September 1.
The room is partially furnished - there's a desk, chair, bedframe, and wardrobe. The previous renter would likely sell you any additional furniture they bought since they're from out of the country.
You'll be sharing the first floor of the house with two other male renters who work or study at Stanford in their 20s and early 30s. You'll have your own private bathroom and shower but the floor plan of the house is wonky due to it being old and renovated several times so the door to the shower room opens to the kitchen which may come as a bit of a surprise. Also, since everyone in the house is male, it's probably best suited for a male renter. I work in tech and live upstairs but frequently use the common areas and grill/hang out in the front on the weekends.
Other things to know about the house
- Utilities, internet, and a cleaning service for the common areas is included
- Laundry is in the basement, plus an extra fridge if you need more space
- You can get a street parking pass for a small fee from the city if needed
- The kitchen was remodeled recently, has a gas range, and is good for cooking, we also have a porch that's nice for hanging out. There's a TV you can cast to in the living room.
- We're located a block away from the main downtown. There's grocery stores within walking distance. Campus is a mile away.
The lease is 12 months with a deposit equal to a month of rent. I can do shorter term leases but we may negotiate a slightly higher rent to cover the overheads associated with this.
If you're looking for a room walking distance to downtown Palo Alto, the train station, and Stanford campus drop me a line at highsthabitat@gmail.com and I'm happy to talk. Direct replies through the SUpost app might not get forwarded to me since I'm posting through a current renter.
