Overview

An Opportunity to work closely with the Investment Team throughout the entire investment process. The Analyst position (“Position”) is an outstanding opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment with the resources of a larger firm. The Position will continue to gain a deep understanding of real estate valuation and investing through direct transactional experience.

Responsibilities

The Position’s primary role is to provide analytical and execution support for acquisitions and asset management duties. Specific responsibilities include:

• Support the development and execution of the company’s investment strategies in seniors housing.

• Underwrite and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities across all property types in the seniors housing spectrum.

• Help in the due diligence/underwriting process on potential new investments.

• Prepare Investment Committee memorandums describing potential new investments.

• Develop/maintain financial models and support the execution of business plans for new investments.

• Review property reports and track operating performance relative to pro forma, forecasts, asset strategies and investment targets, and prepare summaries and present results. Review property financials for factual accuracy and consistency.

• Research and analyze demographic, market, sector, and property-level data relevant to acquisition opportunities. Evaluate opportunities and risks associated with each potential acquisition.

• Help manage asset management responsibilities and portfolio cash management.

• Assist in preparing ad hoc reports to the organization’s senior management, Investment Committee and institutional investors.

Requirements

• Interest in seniors housing investing.

• Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, economics, real estate or another related field.

• Financial modeling experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities.

• Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, attention to detail and problem solving skills.

• Outstanding organizational skills, detail orientation and the ability to defectively prioritize multiple tasks.

• Understanding of finance, as well as, healthcare and commercial real estate terms and concepts.

• Highly developed sense of responsibility, initiative and ability to thrive under pressure.
