We are looking for a 3rd roommate for our modern, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse with semi-private pool in sunny Redwood City. The room is available to move in starting the third week of October.
Location:
Redwood City on the border of Atherton / Menlo Park very near El Camino Real; 5-minute drive (10 minutes on bike) to Caltrain stop, Highway 101, Safeway, Whole Foods, and all the restaurants and shops in downtown Redwood City. Very easy to get to Stanford, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, etc.
The Apartment:
We know we are biased, but after our LONG search, we know we found an incredible place. 1680 ft2; two story town-home with open layout downstairs and bedrooms upstairs along with a semi-private swimming pool.
The room:
The open room is large (11.5 ft. by 14 ft.), west-facing (lots of sun), and has a large closet. Shared modern, renovated bathroom with one person (male). The room has a Queen bed, bookshelf, desk, and dresser (in the closet).
Fully equipped, open kitchen with modern stainless-steel refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, and microwave.
Large common room; hardwood floors. Furnished with leather couches and TV.
Stone patio directly off the kitchen -- Ideal for our BBQ grill and patio furniture.
Driveway parking with lots of street parking too. Parking is no issue here.
Washer and dryer on-site in garage.
Many storage cabinets around the house for smaller items.
Occasional overnight friends or other guests (e.g., friend or family member visiting from out of town) are completely okay.
About Us:
Roommate #1: 35 year old man (pronouns: he/him). An Australian by way of the UK who makes an incredible loaf of sourdough bread. Enjoys rock-climbing and trail running. Previously a postdoc at Stanford, now working at a biotech start-up.
Roommate #2: 26 year old man (pronouns: he/him). A Kiwi! Currently a postdoc at Stanford.
About You (shared bathroom):
Chill person. Open to sometimes hanging out, though we both have our own busy lives, and it's great if you do too. We have friends or guests over occasionally for BBQ, dinner party, etc. The idea of sometimes cooking together or grilling out, perhaps by the pool, in nice weather sounds appealing. No pets or live-in significant others. No smoking or drugs. It's a positive if you like to be active.
Rent and Lease details: Rent is $1125 + share of utilities (generally $100-125/month for electricity, gas, garbage, internet, and household supplies), and there's a $1200 security deposit.
