Job Title: Podcast Coordinator for Yellow-Eyed Cat
Location: Remote, Part-Time, Contract
Compensation: $33/h (depending on experience)
Timeframe: 9-12 months, starting January 2025, est. 5-10 hours a month (likely more in the beginning)
Seeking assistance with the successful launch, marketing, and management of a limited series niche (read: quirky) Stanford-related podcast with finished (and mostly finished) episodes. Our goal is to release one episode every two weeks starting in February.
As Podcast Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the launch, managing early marketing, and supporting listener engagement. You will work closely with the two podcast creators to reach and engage our audience.
While experience with podcasts is not required, it is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Light graphic design, including improving on and formalizing cover art
• Develop launch plan, basic marketing strategy, and budget - and then assist with or manage implementation
• Research and recommend podcast hosting service
• Work with Podcast creators to do show notes and make extra content available
• Submit podcast to online platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, etc.
• Streamline operations for regular updates
• Depending on experience and skill level:
• Light audio editing
• Create podcast trailer
• Assist creators with reviewing and making editing notes for audio editors
• Getting mostly finished episodes over the finish line with audio editors
Required skills:
• Attention to detail, great with timeline management, and collaborates effectively with a remote team
• Strong project management, editing, and communication skills
• Graphic design
• Social media and other forms of appropriate marketing
• Curious, fun, likes podcasts and a great team member!
Bonus:
• Skilled at audio editing
• Track record with successful podcast marketing
