Step into the flowing world of Cross Step Waltz, a dance that beautifully blends the timeless grace of traditional waltz with the creativity of modern variations. This series is perfect for absolute beginners or those looking to refine their skills in a fun, welcoming environment.
What You’ll Learn:
Essentials of Waltz: Posture, connection, and basic patterns
Signature Movements: Turning Basic, Lead Under, Grapevines, and even Tango-inspired figures
Musicality & Flow: Dance to slow waltz tempos and learn to move effortlessly with the music
Flow Concepts: Each week introduces a life-enriching flow principle, like Connection, Trust, and Integration
What to Expect:
No Experience Needed: Beginners welcome
No Partner Required: Partners will rotate during class
Open to All Ages: Connect with a diverse community
Comfortable Attire: Dress casually; dance shoes recommended
Pricing:
Drop-In Class: $20 per person (includes a 60-min lesson + 30-min practice)
Full Series: $99 per person (6 lessons, 6 practice periods, notes & recap)
Couples Package: $179 per couple

Karn brings years of experience teaching social dance at Stanford, Jikoji Zen Center, and more. He merges engineering precision with a passion for dance, making learning accessible and enjoyable.

Rachel’s dance journey began with the Viennese Ball in 2018. Now a passionate teacher, she’s here to share her love of waltz and inspire you on the dance floor.
