Role Description
This is a project-based role for an Assistant Director with expertise in GenAI and Filmmaking. The director's assistant will assist the director in managing all aspects of production, including scheduling, logistics, and on-set coordination and post-production activities. Responsibilities will include utilizing generative AI tools (e.g., Runway, MidJourney, or similar) to contribute to scriptwriting, video creation, including pre-visualization, effects generation, and editing workflows. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to contribute to impactful projects while leveraging their technical expertise. This hybrid role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, requiring some on-site presence while allowing for partial remote work.
Qualifications:
Degree or formal training in filmmaking or a related field, or a CS degree with a strong filmmaking portfolio.
Proven experience using generative AI tools for video production.
Strong portfolio showcasing shooting, editing, and AI-generated video work.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills for managing on-set operations.
San Francisco-based and available for on-site projects.
Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus, but not required.
