The Stanford Division of Pain Medicine is seeking freshmen, sophomores, or juniors for our full-time paid summer internship program. Students will be mentored by one or more of our research staff for ten weeks, complete an individual project, and present their research findings at the end of the summer.
We provide mentorship in various fields such as:
• pain medicine
• medical imaging (fMRI)
• data science/statistics/machine learning
• programming (R, Python, Bash, MATLAB)
• psychology
• neuroscience
• EEG
• clinical research skills
• technical writing and data presentation
Most appointments are in-person, but some remote work may be available. There may be an opportunity to develop a conference poster, talk, or co-authorship of a paper after the internship.
Most of our students go on to graduate school and many have come back to work with us as research coordinators.
